Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines the terms under which refunds or cancellations may be requested for software development services provided by Ramūnas Sabalys, an individual business (Individuali veikla) registered in Lithuania, Activity Certificate Nr. 1388292.
We are committed to delivering high-quality services and ensuring client satisfaction. This policy aims to be fair to both parties while protecting against abuse.
2. Service Nature
Software development services are custom work tailored to each client's specific requirements. Unlike physical products, development services involve:
- Time and expertise invested in understanding and solving your unique problems
- Custom code written specifically for your project
- Ongoing collaboration and iteration
- Deliverables that cannot be resold or reused
Due to this nature, refund requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis, considering the work already completed.
3. Project Cancellation
3.1 Cancellation by Client
You may cancel a project at any time by providing written notice. Upon cancellation:
- You will be invoiced for all work completed up to the cancellation date
- Any advance payments for uncompleted work will be refunded within 30 days
- All completed deliverables will be transferred to you after full payment
- Any deposits or milestone payments for completed work are non-refundable
3.2 Cancellation by Service Provider
We reserve the right to cancel a project if:
- Payment terms are repeatedly violated
- The project scope changes significantly beyond the original agreement
- Required information or cooperation is not provided
- Circumstances beyond our control prevent completion
In such cases, you will receive all completed work and a refund for any prepaid but uncompleted services.
4. Refund Eligibility
4.1 Full Refunds
A full refund may be issued when:
- The project is cancelled before any work has begun
- We are unable to commence the project within the agreed timeframe due to our fault
- Major deliverables fundamentally fail to meet the documented specifications after reasonable attempts to correct
4.2 Partial Refunds
A partial refund may be issued when:
- A project is cancelled midway through development
- Scope reduction results in unused prepaid services
- Certain deliverables cannot be completed as specified
4.3 Non-Refundable Items
The following are generally non-refundable:
- Completed and approved deliverables
- Time spent on research, planning, and consultations
- Third-party costs (hosting, licenses, domain registrations, etc.)
- Rush fees and expedited service charges
- Services delivered as agreed but later deemed unnecessary by the client
5. Requesting a Refund
To request a refund:
- Contact us at ramunas@sabalys.com with your refund request
- Include your project details and reason for the refund request
- Provide any relevant documentation supporting your request
- Allow up to 7 business days for us to review your request
6. Refund Process
Once a refund is approved:
- Refunds will be processed within 14 business days of approval
- Refunds will be issued using the original payment method when possible
- For bank transfers, please provide your banking details
- Currency conversion fees or transaction fees are the responsibility of the recipient
7. Disputes
If you believe a refund has been unfairly denied, please contact us to discuss the matter further. We are committed to finding a fair resolution. If we cannot reach an agreement, disputes will be resolved according to the terms outlined in our Terms of Service.
8. Modifications to Work
Requests for changes or modifications after work has been approved do not constitute grounds for a refund. Additional modifications may be performed at standard hourly rates or as agreed upon separately.
9. Satisfaction Guarantee
While we cannot offer blanket money-back guarantees due to the custom nature of our services, we are committed to:
- Working with you to address any concerns during the project
- Making reasonable revisions within the agreed scope
- Clear communication about project progress and any issues
- Treating all refund requests fairly and professionally
